Death is on tap   10. Jacksonville, Fla. What’s wrong: According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG) 23 different toxic chemicals were found in Jacksonville’s water supply. The chemicals most frequently discovered in high volumes were trihalomethanes, like chloroform. Other dangerous chemicals like lead and arsenic were also found. Unsafe water - Coming to a tap near you Budget cuts proposed by congressional committees in the House of Representatives are expected to strip nearly a billion dollars from EPA programs that provide low interest loans to water authorities seeking to repair or upgrade water facilities. GOP proves yet again that it does not care about the people of Wisconsin Republicans in both houses of the Wisconsin legislature have introduced bills that would repeal a Department of Natural Resources rule which requires municipalities to disinfect drinking water supplies.
