An experiment by Mr. Kopko,D.C., Chief Science Advisor for LIFEIonizers™
Recently, I decided to perform an experiment comparing the growth rate of alfalfa sprouts when watered with acidic and alkaline water—all using water produced by my LIFEIonizer™ water machine . As you can see in the image, the results are clear: acidic water yields healthier, denser, greener sprouts. Read on to find out more about how you can conduct this experiment yourself!
First, I purchased some organic alfalfa seeds from my friendly local health food store and separated them in two jars. One jar had 1 tsp. of seeds soaking in alkaline water and the other had the same amount soaking in acidic water.
After soaking for 12 hours, I drained them and started the growing process. Each jar was rinsed with its corresponding water 2-3 times per day. Sprouting began in a fairly similar way with both jars. My immediate observations were that the acidic water jar appeared to sprout earlier than the alkaline jar.
After 7-10 days the acidic jar had significantly more mature sprouts and much more chlorophyll production, as indicated by the bright, healthy green leaves you see in the picture above. The alkaline water sprouts appear anemic and yellow when compared to the rich, green acidic water sprouts. The acidic water jar also smells better than the other, probably due to the bacteria-reducing properties of acidic water .
As the results show, you too can have another great use for the acidic water that also comes out of our LIFEIonizer™ water machines. The mineral-rich acidic water is a natural, raw way to create an optimum pH for your sprouts and greens. To further illustrate my point: I have also recently grown some beautiful, deep-green, healthy wheatgrass with acidic water. Apparently sprouts and wheatgrass like acidic water. Save and use that acidic water to not only be green, but also produce greens.
One last point I would like to make is that your sprouts aren’t the only plants that benefit from the acid water from your LIFEIonizer™ water machine: fresh-cut flowers last significantly longer in acid water. Try it yourself!
Remember if you are soaking, rinsing or watering with tap water, if it is “hard” water it is alkaline and you are not optimizing the growth of your sprouts or wheatgrass.
